About Us

My name is Vinnie Minichiello. I have been building muscle cars, hot rods and race cars  for over 44 years. I started out in Boston, MA in my dad's garage. I moved to Summerville, SC in 1991 and built my own shop, CMX.

We offer every aspect of fabricating, chassis work, race car work, welding, metal fabrication/shaping, bodywork, paintwork, repairs and any form of customization you can do to a race car, street rod or muscle car. I have built rods, race cars and motorcycles from the ground up.

We specialize in pre-1972 restorations. All of our services are done in-house. From fabrication of a chassis, the mechanical works, wiring and plumbing, and all the way to bodywork, paint, and final assembly. We are dealers for a wide selection of vendors. The one-stop shop for all of your hot rod needs! This is our passion, so we put our heart and soul into what we do. We take pride in our work. When your job leaves my shop, it represents my name and the work I do, so I want it done right!.
